TSB: Subaru Fuel Pump Improvement

This bulletin covers a design modification for Subaru vehicles to prevent fuel pressure issues indicated by DTCP0087. The update improves the internal discharge valve of the high pressure fuel pump, enhancing reliability. When the fault is present, the pump must be replaced with the specified part to restore proper fuel system operation.

Subaru Fuel Pump Improvement

This bulletin applies to 2021-2024 Subaru Legacy and Outback, 2017-2024 Impreza and Crosstrek and Forester vehicles. A design change has been developed to prevent DTCP0087 (fuel rail/system pressure too low, bank 1). The performance of the internal discharge valve of the pump has been optimized to help prevent any unstable fuel pressure caused by engine vibrations. If this DTC is set, the high pressure fuel pump will require replacement. Use the updated pump P/N 16625AA190.
