This bulletin announces the design change to the 2021-2024 Subaru Legacy & Outback and 2017-2024 Impreza & Crosstrek high pressure fuel pump developed to prevent DTC P0087 (fuel rail/system pressure too low, bank 1).

This bulletin announces the design change to the 2021-2024 Subaru Legacy & Outback and 2017-2024 Impreza & Crosstrek high pressure fuel pump developed to prevent DTC P0087 (fuel rail/system pressure too low, bank 1).

The performance of the internal discharge valve of the pump has been optimized to help prevent any unstable fuel pressure caused by engine vibrations. If DTC P0087 is found in the ECM, the high pressure fuel pump requires replacement. The new pump for Impreza, Crosstrek and Legacy models is 16625AA071. The pump for Outback and Legacy is 16625AA190.
