Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling 1,271,294 vehicles: model year 2019–2026 Ram 1500 pickups. The second-row seat belt buckle anchors may have been improperly installed, a noncompliance with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 210, “Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages.”

An improperly installed seat belt buckle anchor may fail to properly restrain occupants, increasing the risk of injury during a crash. At just over 1.27 million trucks, this is the largest campaign of the week by a wide margin — and because the anchor attaches to the body structure rather than the seat assembly, the inspection is a body-side check rather than a seat R&R.

Dealers will inspect and attach the seat belt buckle anchor to the body structure as necessary, free of charge.

Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC (MBUSA) is recalling 310,667 vehicles: model year 2019–2022 A-Class, 2020–2021 CLA, 2022–2023 C-Class, 2024 CLE, 2020–2026 GLA and GLB, and 2023–2024 GLC models, including AMG variants. The micro-switch in the driver's door lock may corrode and fail to detect an open door. MBUSA directs technicians to its recall report for specific model coverage.

When the switch does not register that the driver's door is open, the electronic parking brake or “Auto-Park” feature may not engage automatically. The vehicle can then roll away, increasing the risk of a crash or injury. The failure is a corrosion mode, so affected vehicles in road-salt regions are the ones most likely to present.

Dealers will replace the driver's door lock, free of charge.

Ford Motor Company is recalling 79,579 vehicles: model year 2026–2027 Ford Explorer and Lincoln Aviator SUVs. An unoccupied driver's seat may recline unintentionally during certain scenarios, such as remote unlock or remote start.

Unexpected movement of the driver's seat back may trap a second-row occupant, increasing the risk of injury. Because the movement is tied to remote unlock and remote start events, it can occur with no one in the driver's seat and no one at the vehicle — a scenario worth flagging to customers who load children or cargo through the second row.

The remedy is currently under development, and Ford has not provided an owner notification schedule.

Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. is recalling 57,851 vehicles: model year 2024–2026 Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport SUVs. The vehicles may experience a low-voltage electrical event that affects display screen functions, and as a result the rearview camera image may fail to display as intended.

A rearview camera that fails to display an image can reduce the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash. The fault is described as originating in a low-voltage event affecting the display rather than in the camera itself, which is worth keeping in mind before condemning a camera on a no-image complaint.

Dealers will update the rearview camera software, free of charge.
