Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. is recalling 208,724 vehicles: model year 2018–2019 Volkswagen Atlas, 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan and 2019–2021 Audi Q3 SUVs. One of the bolts that attaches the steering rack to the subframe may corrode and break, which can cause the steering rack housing to break.

A broken steering rack housing can result in a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Dealers will replace the right-side steering rack mounting bolt, free of charge.

Rivian Automotive, LLC is recalling 98,828 vehicles: model year 2022–2027 R1S, 2022–2026 R1T and 2027 R2 vehicles. A notification may obstruct the rearview camera image while the vehicle is in reverse, a noncompliance with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 111, “Rear Visibility.”

An obstructed rearview camera image can reduce the driver’s view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Rivian has released an over-the-air (OTA) software update, free of charge.

Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. is recalling 49,958 model year 2025 Tiguan vehicles. A software error may cause the body control module (BCM) to reset, switching off the ignition and stalling the engine. A reset can also cause a loss of certain controls, warning lights or exterior lighting, or failure of the rearview camera system, a noncompliance with FMVSS No. 101, “Controls and Displays,” and No. 102, “Transmission Shift Lever Sequence, Starter Interlock, and Transmission Braking Effect,” as well as FMVSS Nos. 108 and 111.

An unexpected engine stall, loss of exterior lighting or warning lights, or failure of the rearview camera system can increase the risk of a crash.

Dealers will update the BCM software, free of charge.

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC is recalling 23,677 vehicles: model year 2019–2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport; 2020–2024 Range Rover, Range Rover Evoque, Discovery Sport and Defender; 2021–2024 Range Rover Velar and Discovery; and 2021–2024 Jaguar E-Pace and F-Pace. The DC-DC converter may malfunction due to an electrical overload during high power demand, and a software error can cause the converter to stop functioning at vehicle start-up under certain circumstances.

Failure of the DC-DC converter results in a loss of 12-volt system charging and can lead to a complete loss of drive power and exterior lighting, increasing the risk of a crash.

This recall expands previous NHTSA recall 26V248.

Dealers will update the vehicle software, free of charge.

Hyundai Motor America is recalling 5,360 model year 2026 Ioniq 9 vehicles equipped with the Limited, Calligraphy or Calligraphy Design trim package. The second-row power seats may fail to detect a person and continue to move after contacting them during powered seat functions, such as automatic power fold-and-stow.

A person, especially a child, may become trapped by a rear power seat, increasing the risk of injury. Until the repair is performed, owners are advised to use caution when operating the second-row power seat functions, and children are advised not to be in the rear seats or near the rear seating area during power-folding operation.

The seat software will be inspected and updated over the air (OTA) or by a dealer, as necessary, free of charge.
