TSB: Maverick Ignition Coils

Ford has identified a possible misfire condition in certain 2025 Maverick vehicles, linked to ignition coil build dates from April to October 2024. Proper inspection and timely replacement of affected coils are recommended to ensure vehicle reliability.

The date code on this example coil is 24730 (July 30, 2024). Each ignition coil has an 11-character alphanumeric manufacture code printed on top. The second through sixth characters of the manufacture code are the date code.

Maverick Ignition Coils

This bulletin applies to a number of Ford vehicles including 2025 Ford Maverick vehicles equipped with a 2.0L EcoBoost engine, built on June 1, 2024 through December 31, 2024. The engine may experience a misfire condition with DTCs P0301, P0302, P0303 and/or P0304 stored in the PCM.

Inspect the date code on the suspect ignition coil and replace as needed. If the coil build date is April 1, 2024 through October 31, 2024, replace the coil(s).
