This bulletin applies to 2024 Ford Ranger vehicles equipped with a 2.3L EcoBoost engine and built June 1, 2024 through December 31, 2024. The vehicle may exhibit an engine misfire condition. The MIL may be on with DTCs P0301, P0302, P0303 and/or P0304 stored in the PCM. The culprit may involve an ignition coil.

Each coil has an 11-character alphanumeric manufacturer code printed on top. The second through sixth characters of the code are the date code. If the date code for the cylinder setting the DTC April 1, 2024 through October 31, 2024, replace the coil using P/N P2GZ-12029-A. The third character indicates the manufacture month. Use 1-9 for January through September and X, Y or Z for October, November and December.
