The technician may find DTC P050D set/stored in history. This condition may be caused by a software anomaly. Reprogram the ECM with the latest calibrations.
Ensure that the programming tool is equipped with the latest software and is securely connected to the data link connector. Stable voltage is critical Use a GM authorized programming support tool or a fully charged 12V jumper/booster pack disconnected from an AC voltage supply.
Turn off/disable systems that may place a load on the battery (interior lights, exterior light, HVAC, radio, etc.). Clear all DTCs after programming.
