(October 29, 2007) While Toyota has been a long-time participant in the automotive specialty equipment industry, this year marks the first time that Toyota will serve as the Vehicle Manufacturer of the Show.

In addition to exhibiting at the SEMA Show, Toyota supports SEMA's project vehicle program with SEMA members, provides SEMA members with hands-on early access to vehicles and takes part in the organization's OEM Roundtable program. Also, Scion, a marque of Toyota Motor Sales, Inc., allows access to confidential data through the SEMA Tech Transfer Program.

Over the course of the last four decades, SEMA has enjoyed an expanded association with the world's top automakers. In fact, more OEMs than ever are expected to join Toyota at the 2007 SEMA Show. This year 14 auto manufacturers and distributors representing 30 automobile nameplates plan to exhibit at the SEMA Show.

Joining Toyota at the 2007 SEMA Show are: Ford Motor Company, General Motors Corporation, Hyundai Motor America, American Honda, Kia Motors America, Inc., Lexus, Mazda North America Operations, Chrysler, Nissan North America, Scion, Subaru of America, Inc. American Suzuki Motor Corporation and Volkswagen.

Press conferences and sponsored media events make up a significant part of automaker activity at the SEMA Show, where manufacturers seek access to a global media pool ranging from key industry communicators to the latest lifestyle broadcast programs. The launch of new models and technologies continues throughout the week and further attests to the growing importance the OEM community affords the show and the media attention it garners.

OEM executives, engineers and designers consider the SEMA Show critical to their understanding of the overall industry and trends likely to influence the sale of particular vehicle types or specific segment growth.
