TSB: Jeep TCM Update

This bulletin details the reprogramming procedure for the Transmission Control Module (TCM) in 2024 Jeep Compass vehicles equipped with a 2.0L I4 diesel engine and 8-speed automatic transmission to resolve MIL activation and limp mode issues caused by DTC P0883-00.

Jeep TCM Update

This bulletin applies to 2024 Jeep Compass vehicles built on or before October 12, 2023, equipped with a 2.0L I4 DOHC DI Turbo diesel engine and an 8-speed automatic 8F30 transmission. The MIL may be on with DTC P0883-00 (TCM power input signal high) set. The vehicle may also be in limp mode.

Reprogram the TCM with the latest software.
