Jeep Needs an Update
This bulletin applies to 2012-2014 Jeep Compass and Patriot vehicles. Customers may experience a MIL on. DTCs P0335 (crankshaft position sensor circuit), U0140 (lost communication with body control module TIPM) and P219A (air fuel ratio cylinder imbalance bank 1) may be stored.
In addition, the vehicle may have failed emissions testing. It may be found that the individual cylinder fuel control (ICFC) monitors are reporting as failing to the scan tool even though the monitors have actually passed.
Reprogram the PCM with the latest available software.
