Buick has identified a calibration problem affecting the K160 brake system control module in specific 2025-2026 models, leading to warning lights and messages. Technicians should update the module's calibration to resolve these issues, avoiding unnecessary part replacements.

Some owners of 2025-2026 Buick Envista vehicles built May 5, 2025 to December 8, 2025 and 2025-2026 Encore GX vehicles built April 18, 2025 to December 4, 2025 may comment about an ABS warning, traction/stability control warning, and a service brake assist message. Technicians may find DTC C05CD (antilock brake system) set.

The cause may be the calibration for the internal rod position sensor in the EBCM. Update the calibration for the K160 brake system control module. Do not replace the module for the C05CD DTC.
