GM Fuel Level Causing Under-Boost DTC

This bulletin applies to all 2011-2026 GM passenger cars and trucks equipped with a turbocharger that features a fuel level concern. The MIL may be on with DTC P0299 set in current or history. The cause: likely a software issue.

Using a GM GDS scan tool, review the Remaining Fuel in Tank Parameter in the freeze frame. If this parameter is below 2%, refuel the vehicle, clear the DTC and return the vehicle to the customer.
