Caddy DTC After Brake Pad Service
This bulletin applies to 2020 Cadillac CT4/CT5,2019 CT6, 2021-2023 Escalade, 2019 XT4 and 2020 XT5/XT6 vehicles. After performing a brake inspection, brake pad replacement or any other repair that requires the caliper piston to be re-seated may cause DTC C05B0 to falsely set for eBoost applications.
- Disconnect the battery negative cable.
- Ensure that the brake pads are fully seated to the rotors and that the brake pedal is firm. If the pedal is not firm, and/or the pads are not fully seated, gradually apply the brake pedal to about 2/3 of its travel distance. Wait 15 seconds and repeat until the pedal is firm and pads are fully seated.
- Reconnect the negative battery cable and clear the code.
