Strange Mazda Noise

This bulletin applies to 2020-2025 Mazda CX-30 (Mexico), 2022-2025 CX-5, 2025 CX-70, 202402025 CX-90, 2022-2024 MX-30 and 2016-2024 MX-5 vehicles. Am abnormal noise may be heard (whine, groan, squeak, rattle) coming from the front combination lights when turning them on or a few minutes after turning them off. The noise may be due to contamination by foreign matter during manufacturing. The motor bearing may become worn out during use. To eliminate this concern, the fan motor has been modified. Fan motor part numbers have not been changed, but all replacement fan motors feature the enhanced modification.

Note that it is normal for some noise to occur within the first few seconds after engine start when the front combination lights perform a self-check sweep.
