TSB: Subaru Software Update

This bulletin applies to 2025 Subaru Forester, 2023-2025 Ascent, Legacy and Outback, and 2024-2025 WRX, Impreza and Crosstrek. New reprogramming files have been developed to address cases of DTC C1C40 being detected by the electronic brake booster (EBB) in addition to failure detail code 30A2 stored in the freeze frame data. This new software contains enhanced logic providing a more accurate detection of DTC C1C40.
