This bulletin announces the availability of reprogramming files for 2023 Subaru Solterra electric vehicles, designed to enhance the performance of regenerative braking control.

To protect battery health, regenerative braking function is typically limited when the battery state of charge (SOC) is high or during low temperature conditions. The updated programming files expand the conditions under which the regenerative braking can be utilized, allowing it to engage more frequently.

Note: the EV-ECU has two microcontrollers (MCU)... a main and sub MCU, each with its own software/ This reprogramming will update both MCUs. The new calibration ID for the main MCU is 8A25224219400. For the sub MCU, the new calibration ID is 899854216101.
