Hyundai: Rattle Noise
Certain 2020-2021 Hyundai Palisade vehicles equipped with rear self-leveling shocks (with factory 20-inch wheels, SEL or Limited trim) may exhibit a knocking or rattling noise from the rear of the vehicles when driving on bumpy roads at low speed.
Remove the rear wheels and remove the rear shock absorbers (install a jack under the lower control arm to compress the shock for easy removal). Remove the bolt and nut to remove the rear shock from the lower control arm. Remove the insulator cap. Loosen the lock nut using special service tool 09546-S1100. Remove the insulator assembly and install the new insulator P/N 55310-S1150FFF. Reassemble in reverse order. Torque the new insulator lock nut to 21.7 ft-lb.
