Subaru announced the availability of a new stop lamp switch for 2008-2011 Impreza, 2015-2019 WRX, 2017-2018 Forester and 2013-2018 BRZ vehicles, equipped with LED-type rear combination lamps.

Additional grease and a change to the plating process used on some of the internal components are changes made to address concerns of a rasping-type noise when applying the brakes.

The new switches are available as follows:

Impreza and Forester: P/N 83311FG001

WRX and BRZ: P/N 83311CA001

The new switches can be identified by a brown-colored harness connection socket as opposed to the early version, which was black.
