Subaru announced a change to the EPB (electronic parking brake) adapter cord harness connectors on 2015-2018 Legacy/Outback and WRX vehicles. In some cases, the retaining tab of the connector may become damaged as a result of removal or installation, potentially causing DTC C1956 or C1957 to set and the brake warning lamp to illuminate.
