Reprogramming Chevy BSCM calibrations

    This bulletin applies to 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 vehicles. Some customers may comment that Service Brake System, Reduced Engine Power and Speed Limited messages appear on the display.

    This bulletin applies to 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 vehicles. Some customers may comment that Service Brake System, Reduced Engine Power and Speed Limited messages appear on the display.

    Along with these messages, an SES MIL will be on and the brake pedal may feel hard. When checking for DTCs, the brake system control module (BSCM) will have set a P0606 and C0021. Electrical anomalies during BSCM initialization may cause codes to set.

    GM Engineering has released new BSCM calibrations to correct this concern. Reprogram the BSCM with the latest calibrations.
