Updating Buick Encore front brake pad kit

Owners of 2020 Buick Encore GX vehicles may comment on hearing a squealing noise from the front of the vehicle during light brake pedal application.

The correction: replace the front brake pad kit with shims that have been released to correct this condition. Replace the front brake pads and the pad wear sensor.

Owners of 2020 Buick Encore GX vehicles may comment on hearing a squealing noise from the front of the vehicle during light brake pedal application.

The squealing noise can occur at low speeds when the brakes are first applied or lightly applied, in drive or reverse. Usually this occurs after a period of non-use or cold brakes and/or in high humidity conditions.

The correction: replace the front brake pad kit with shims that have been released to correct this condition. Replace the front brake pads and the pad wear sensor.

The new front brake pad kit is P/N 42747910. The wear sensor is P/N 42726383.
