You may find DTC U0100 set in the power steering control module (PSCM), and fuse F9DA may be blown after a short to ground on circuit 5985 was repaired. Once this code sets, it may be unrecoverable and will not clear. You may see a rejected by control module error message when attempting to clear codes.

The correction: Replace the BCM and the PSCM. Replace the steering column. Once the steering column is replaced, then replace the BCM.
The steering column is available as P/N 42622461. The BCM is P/N 13594571.
