No-Start Problem for Nissan Isn't Anti-Theft System

This bulletin applies to all 2005-2008 Nissan vehicles with the built-in anti-theft system.

This bulletin applies to all 2005-2008 Nissan vehicles with the NATS/Immobilizer system, the company's own anti-theft system.

A no-start condition may be accompanied by DTC P1610 (lock mode). Using GR-8, check the battery voltage and state of charge. Service (fill, clean, charge or replace as needed). If the no-start problem is not resolved with battery service, or if other NATS DTCs such as P1611, P1612, P1613, P1614, P1615, B2191, B2192, B2193 or B2590 are found, refer to the service manual for further diagnostic information as needed. The issue is not NATS-related. Do not replace the NATS components.
