This bulletin applies to 2009-2016 Audi A4, A5, A5 Cabriolet, A6, Q5 and TT vehicles equipped with a 2.0L TFSI Evo2 engine. The engine may judder or run erratically and may judder during acceleration. No event may be stored in the electronic control unit (ECU). The air mass meter is suspected to be faulty, with possible incorrect function on the sensor elements of the air mass meter.

Remove the connector of the air mass meter.

Perform a test drive and see if the complaint persists. If it does, do not replace the air mass meter, as the cause lies elsewhere. Look for other possible causes such as air leaks in the intake system, a dirty or incorrectly-fitted air filter element, etc. If the complaint does not persist, replace the air mass meter.
