Jeep Liftgate Has an Issue

2011-2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles equipped with a power liftgate and built between March 1, 2010, and March 1, 2012, may present with an issue where the power lift gate does not open or close under power.

2011-2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicles equipped with a power liftgate and built between March 1, 2010, and March 1, 2012, may present with an issue where the power lift gate does not open or close under power.

During scan diagnosis,  DTC B1882 (power liftgate position sensor 1 circuit) may be set.

Reprogramming with the latest software is required. The wi-TECH software level must be at release 13.03 or higher to perform the update. Chrysler recommends the update first before further diagnosis (if required).
