Fixing Toyota Fuel Cap

Some 2017-2018 Toyota Tundra trucks may exhibit a “no click” or a “no spring return” condition from the fuel cap when fully seated and sealed. In some vehicles, the fuel cap may be contacting the fuel filler neck, leading to this condition.

Some 2017-2018 Toyota Tundra trucks may exhibit a “no click” or a “no spring return” condition from the fuel cap when fully seated and sealed. In some vehicles, the fuel cap may be contacting the fuel filler neck, leading to this condition.

If this is the case, remove the fuel filler neck and install a new fuel filler neck and fuel cap. Confirm proper operation.
