• Toyota Fuel Cap Woes

Some 2017-2018 Toyota Tundra vehicles may exhibit a “no click” or a “no spring return” condition from the fuel cap.

Some 2017-2018 Toyota Tundra vehicles may exhibit a “no click” or a “no spring return” condition from the fuel cap when fully seated and sealed. In some cases, the fuel cap may be contacting the fuel filler neck, causing this condition.  If this is the case, replace the fuel filler neck and fuel cap with new parts. Confirm fuel cap “click” and “spring return.” Using the Techstream Utility, perform an EVAP check and verify that no EVAP codes are present.
