Inactive Grille Shutter

This bulletin applies to 2013-2015 Dodge Dart vehicles equipped with Active Grille Shutters (AGS). The bulletin involves confirming that the AGS electrical harness connector is properly connected.

The customer may note that the MIL is on after the vehicle has been serviced, where the fascia has been removed and reinstalled during service. The technician may find DTC U11E9 is either active or stored. This DTC (lost communication with AGS) is set is the engine is started while the AGS electrical harness connector is disconnected.

If DTC U11E9 is present, confirm that the AGS harness is connected properly. Clear any DTCs that may have set due to the harness being disconnected. Perform a test drive, and then use a scan tool to check for any set or pending DTCs.
