This bulletin applies to BMW vehicles produced from July 1, 2015 and later.

A yellow CCM (check control message) ID 415 may be displayed (increased battery drain! //Battery. Electrostatic discharge at standstill/start engine. Energy management).

The results of the Energy Diagnosis test plan may identify the controller as the root cause of the CCM. The Controller delays the vehicles going to sleep by up to six minutes. In some cases, this will cause the CCM 415 to be displayed when starting the vehicle. Replacing the controller in this case will not correct the situation.

Carry out a diagnosis with ISTA and run the Energy Diagnosis test plan. If the controller is identified as the root cause of the CCM, program the vehicle if the I-level is lower than 19-11-530.

ISTA will automatically reprogram and code all programmable control modules that do not have the latest software. Always connect a BMW-approved battery charger/power supply when performing programming.
