Having policies like honoring the new flyer's sale price on a purchase made within the last 30 days makes customers feel good about their purchase. How do you feel when you buy something, only to see it on sale the next week? I used to enjoy walking into a shop and handing a receipt with a credit to reflect the new flyer sale price before the customer opened up the new flyer. You can always recover the loss when you resell the item at its regular list price down the road.
