TSB: Mazda Lack of Power

This bulletin addresses a software issue in Mazda CX-50 vehicles causing check engine lights and power loss after cold starts or at high altitudes. Reprogramming the PCM with updated software resolves these issues.

Mazda Lack of Power

This bulletin applies to 2023 – 2024 Mazda CX-50 vehicles that experience a check engine light after a cold start or at high altitude (higher than 10,000 ft) and a lack of engine power when DTC P061B:00 is stored in the PCM. This is caused by improper control software of the PCM. To eliminate this concern, PCM control software has been modified Reprogram the PCM with the latest available software.
