This bulletin applies to 2018-2019 Mazda6 (without Skyactiv), CX-5, CX-3 and 2019 Miata MX-5 vehicles. The MIL may be on, with DTC P061B:00 stored.

Some vehicles may experience a lack of power with the DTC stored in PCM memory when cranking is interrupted (likely when the brake pedal is released during cranking) or when accelerating from 1,300-1,600 rpm with wide open throttle.

Due to an improper control logic of the PCM, the engine torque calculation error detection is too sensitive.

To eliminate the concern, the PCM software has been modified.  Reprogram with the latest calibration.
