TSB: Chevrolet All Neutral Transmission

This bulletin applies to 2024 Chevy Malibu and Trailblazer vehicles. The vehicle may experience a no-engagement into drive or reverse.  The condition may be caused by a dislodged reverse internal retaining ring, due to a defect in the forward clutch housing. Remove and disassemble the transmission. Inspect the forward clutch housing for the reverse internal gear retaining rig for a dislodged issue.

If the reverse internal gear retaining ring is found to be dislodged, this will cause the clutches to not apply in forward and reverse. This can cause the forward and reverse clutch pistons to over-travel and cause damage to the piston seals. If this is found, replace the forward clutch housing. Replace ay related damaged parts.
