TSB: Camaro Buzz

This bulletin addresses a rattle, tick, or buzz noise in 2017-2024 Chevy Camaro ZL1 and ZL1 1LE models, caused by a faulty fuel feed pipe and pulse dampener, which may lead to high-pressure pulsation issues.

Camaro Buzz

This bulletin applies to 2017-2024 Chevy Camaro ZL1 and ZL1 1LE vehicles. A rattle, tick or buzz noise may be heard at the passenger side, louder inside the vehicle. The condition may be caused by the fuel feed pipe between the high pressure fuel pump and chassis fuel line, allowing high pressure pulsation back to the low side of the fuel system. This may be due to a faulty pulse dampener internal to the part.

There is not a good way to test this pulse dampener. Following the line underneath the vehicle, a sound check can be made to confirm the noise is present within the fuel line. If the pulse dampener has been validated to be the cause of the noise, replace the fuel feed pipe using P/N 84404473.
