TSB: Mercedes Extended Fan Runtime

This bulletin applies to 2024 and later Mercedes-Benz passenger vehicles equipped with engine M256.9. Customers may comment that the engine cooling fan runs for an extended time after engine shut-off. This is a normal thermal management in the latest PTCU software. The engine fan will operate for up to 20 minutes after the ignition switch is switched off.
