TSB: Chevy EV Gearbox Noise

This bulletin applies to 2025 Chevy Blazer EV, BrightDrop 400/600 and 2024 Equinox EV vehicles. A noise may be heard while the vehicle is in motion, possibly caused by the gear box.

If a drive unit is found to make abnormal noise, replace only the gear box. Note that new gear boxes are pre-filled for servicing.

Important: When transferring the drive motor control module, be mindful of proper handling to avoid module damage. Exposed circuit boards can be damaged with handling. Extra bolts or debris in the cavity could cause high voltage shorting.

Caution: Failure to install the correct gear box could lead to severe safety concerns/damage.
