TSB: Kia Niro Water Pump Hose
This bulletin provides information to replace the Electric Water Pump (EWP) coolant hose on some 2023-2024 Kia Niro EV vehicles produced from July 11, 2022 through January 24, 2024, which may exhibit a coolant leak from under the bulkhead due to a loosened EWP coolant hose at the EWP connector. The retainer clip on the EWP coolant hose is positioned horizontally on the hose which may come loose over time. The improved coolant hose has the retainer clip rotated 90-degrees to be positioned vertically.
The new hose with updated connector is P/N 375Y3 AO031.
- Perform the “High Voltage Shut-Off Procedure” listed in the shop manual, following only steps 1-4.
- Drain the coolant.
- Disconnect the EWP coolant hose connector from the EWP.
- Disconnect the EWP coolant hose connector from the high voltage battery.
- Install the new EWP coolant hose in reverse order of removal.
- Refill coolant and bleed per the service manual.
