Some 2021-2023 Ford Bronco vehicles equipped with a factory front stabilizer bar disconnect may encounter a Sta-bar Disconnect Service Required message in the IPC and an illuminated warning light.
To correct the condition, follow the service manual procedure to address water intrusion and reprogram the CHCM using the latest software version of the FDRS scan tool.
Some 2021-2023 Ford Bronco vehicles equipped with a factory front stabilizer bar disconnect may encounter a Sta-bar Disconnect Service Required message in the IPC and an illuminated warning light, with DTC(s) stored in the CHCM (C103A, C1A99, C1B03, C1B07, C1B14 and/or B1A67).
To correct the condition, follow the service manual procedure to address water intrusion and reprogram the CHCM using the latest software version of the FDRS scan tool.
If water or corrosion is present in any connectors C1295A, C1295B, C1294A and/or C1294B, replace the front stabilizer bar disconnect harness and the front stabilizer bar disconnect. If no corrosion/water is found, apply electrical grease to all four connectors.
If water/corrosion is present on either side of connector C1415, replace the stabilizer bar disconnect harness and body harness. Apply electrical grease to connector C1415. If no water/corrosion is found in connector C1415, apply electrical grease to the connector.
If water/corrosion is found in connector C445, replace the connector with a service pigtail kit and the CHCM. Apply electrical grease to the connector. If no water/corrosion in connector C445 is found, apply electrical grease into the connector.
