The cause is weakness in the DSC processor. The fault is rectified with ISTA 4.28.1x.
This bulletin applies to 2020-2021 BMW M5 and G30 5-series vehicles. After programming the vehicle using ISTA, the DSC control unit may not respond. Or, in the case of a BMW remote software upgrade, the customer may see a Check Control message (BMW Remote Software Upgrade failed. Vehicle is not operational. Please call BMW Roadside Assistance).
