The yellow CCM, ID code 0042 (brake system), may light up when starting the vehicle. Avoid abrupt braking and drive at a moderate speed. Various fault patterns may occur depending on the time of occurrence. The parking brake will not work or cannot be released if it was in operation when the engine was started. Anti-lock braking function or other dynamic stability control functions may no longer be available. Fault code 48082F (internal control unit – read-only memory flash error) may be stored in the fault memory of the DSC control unit. After another terminal change, the CCM goes out.
The fault code is no longer entered. Repeating the DSC control unit self-test cures the fault. The fault is unlikely to occur again. The cause: unfavorable software in the DSC control unit.
Reprogram the vehicle using ISTA 4.30.21 to I level S18A-21-07-520 or later.
