Techstream software version 13.20.018 or later is required. When replacing the EPB module, the ECU part number is unchanged, but the calibration logic has been updated.
Some 2018-2019 Lexus LC500, LC500h, LS500 and LS500h vehicles may exhibit an EPB (electric parking brake) malfunction warning message with DTC C13A8 (electric parking brake actuator).
Techstream software version 13.20.018 or later is required. When replacing the EPB module, the ECU part number is unchanged, but the calibration logic has been updated. If the EPB warning is seen along with DTC C13A8, replace the parking brake computer assembly. Connect Techstream and initialize the parking brake ECU.
Start the engine and allow it to reach normal operating temperature. Test drive to confirm proper EPB operation.
