Verify correct tool for Nissan Altima

Example of axle threads that were damaged by improper nut removal.

This bulletin applies to 2019-2023 Nissan Altima, 2018-2023 LEAF, 2022-2023 Pathfinder, 2021-2023 Rogue and 2020-2023 Sentra vehicles.

If the front axle nut needs to be removed for any reason, the staking of the nut into the axle keyway must be removed first.

In the ESM, the essential tool required to remove the nut staking is called out as a “Cape Chisel," P/N J-52982, and must be used to prevent thread damage to the axle.
