This bulletin applies to 2018-2019 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross vehicles. Should you encounter the MIL on with DTC P0442, P0456 or P0455 (small EVAP leak), inspect the connection between the main canister and vent tube. Dealers have reported this condition being misaligned which can cause a small leak.

To correct the condition, unbolt and remove the fitting and inspect the O-ring.

If necessary, replace with a commercially available part. Re-attach the fitting, keeping it in proper alignment with the canister as the bolt is tightened.

Confirm by performing a smoke test or an EVAP leak monitor using the scan tool.
