This bulletin applies to 2015-2019 Chevy Colorado vehicles equipped with a 2.5L or 2.6L engine and 6 or 8 speed transmission. Some customers may complain about a leak, whining and/or screeching noise coming from the front of the vehicle during all driving conditions and speeds.

This condition may be caused by the vent hose for the front axle being misrouted and kinked. This causes the front axle housing to build too much pressure, resulting in seal failure. Properly re-route the vent hose down behind the electronic power steering (EPS) so that it does not make contact with the power steering rubber boot or kink, and replace the front drive axle inner shaft output seals (P/N 23348300).
