The Reason Behind Fiat Battery Drain

    This bulletin applies to 2014-2015 Fiat 500L vehicles built on or before Dec. 23, 2014. Customers may experience a battery drain after the vehicle sits for a long period of time.

    This bulletin applies to 2014-2015 Fiat 500L vehicles built on or before Dec. 23, 2014. Customers may experience a battery drain after the vehicle sits for a long period of time.

    Using a scan tool (wiTECH), first verify the charging system function. Repair as needed. If low-voltage DTCs are found that were caused by low battery voltage, reprogram the BCM with the latest software.

    The software level must be at 15.02 or higher. The flash download should take about two minutes.
