Some 2015-2016 Lincoln MKC vehicles built on or before Dec. 7, 2015 may exhibit steering gear clatter-type noise over bumps only present on extremely rough roads. Attach Rotunda Wireless Chassis Ears LSP97202 or equivalent. When diving over extremely rough road surfaces is a clatter-type noise present at the steering gear? If yes, replace the steering gear. If not, see workshop manual section 100-04 for normal diagnostics.
