This bulletin applies to 2015 Ram 1500/2500/3500/4500/5500 vehicles equipped with the halogen headlamp system. The low beam headlights may appear dim or yellow.
Using wiTECH, check to see if “Left Low Beam Voltage Regulation” and “Right Low Beam Voltage Regulation” is set to 13.8 volts. On the front page of wiTECH, select the BCM. Select ECU details. Select configurations tab. Scroll down the list and find Left Low Beam Voltage Regulation and Right Low Beam Voltage Regulation.
Is this vehicle an LX, LD or LA? If yes, proceed to step 3. If no, proceed to step 4.
Are both right and left voltage regulations set to 13.8 volts? If yes, the bulletin is complete. If no, proceed to step 5.
Are right and left voltage regulations set to 14.0 volts (high beam 14.2 volts)? If yes, this bulletin does not pertain. Perform normal diagnostics. If no, proceed to step 5.
Reconfigure the vehicle. This routine is available under the Diagnostic Procedures tab found on the home Vehicle View page of wiTECH. Select Restore Vehicle Configuration.
