Audi Module Not at Fault

This bulletin applies to 2013 Audi A6, A7 and A8 vehicles.

This bulletin applies to 2013 Audi A6, A7 and A8 vehicles. The ESP warning light may be on in the instrument cluster. DTC B200047 (control unit faulty) may be stored in the sensor electronics control module J849 (address word 3B).

With software level 0053, the J849 control module may store this DTC even though the control unit is not faulty.

If DTC B200047 is stored in the J849 control module with software version 0053, update the software. Diagnose all other DTCs according to Guided Fault Finding. Update the J849 control module with version 0056 (SVM code input 3BA001).
