This bulletin applies to 2013-2017 Audi A8 vehicles. The MIL may be on, accompanied by Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P046100 (fuel level sensor, circuit range/performance). This DTC can be caused by miscalculations within the engine control module (ECM) software when the fuel tank is being filled with gasoline while the ignition is on. New ECM software has been implemented to correct this condition. Update the ECM using the SVM action code 01A203.

If equipped with a 3.0L TFSI engine, the new software P/N is 4H2907551A and the new software version is 0008. If equipped with a 4.0L TFSI engine, the new software P/N is 4H0906014J, version 0006.

After the update, cycle the ignition. Start the engine. If the engine runs rough and surges, cycle the ignition again. Reset the TPMS if necessary.
