This bulletin applies to 2013-2015 Cadillac ATS, 2008-2015 CTS, 2007-2017 SRX, 2006-2011 STS and 2006-2009 XLR vehicles. A high pitched whine noise may be heard from the vehicle with the key on and engine off, or for up to one minute after the engine has been shut off. The noise should be heard from outside the vehicle only or with a window open. The whine noise may be caused by the internal transmission solenoids being commanded to minimum line pressure by the TCM. This noise is an operating characteristic and no repairs should be attempted.
